Children’s Review

Greetings from the staff at Melbourne Podiatrists & Orthotics. Just a friendly note to remind you it is now time for your child’s next podiatry appointment.

If your child wears orthotics:

Please make an appointment for an orthotic review, duration 30 minutes. The aim of our children’s orthotic program is to remove your child’s orthotics if possible. Orthotic reviews with our podiatrists are vital to the success of the program. It is at these reviews careful observations of change in feet and gait are observed, determining if the orthotics need adjusting or replacing. Exercises may also be prescribed to improve core strength and address muscular change during growth and development.

If your child has just had their orthotics removed then the reviews are essential to make sure their feet and posture remain stable.

Regular orthotic reviews will ensure optimum orthotic function and help prevent symptoms in your child.

NB. If your child misses a custom orthotic review you may be voiding your custom orthotics comfort guarantee.

If your child was receiving other podiatry treatment:

Please make an appointment for a general consultation, duration 30 minutes. The podiatrist will want to further assess your child’s feet and review their treatment plan. It is important that your child attends this consultation even if they are no longer complaining of symptoms. Thorough reviews with our podiatrists will help prevent problems returning.
