Melbourne Podiatrists & Orthotics wish to provide a safe environment for our patients (many who are elderly) and staff during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We also wish to be proactive in helping to stop the spread of the virus so we have introduced the following policies for all patients:
1. If you are experiencing a fever, a cough, a sore throat, shortness of breath or flu-like symptoms we ask that your refrain from making an appointment and seek medical attention. If you suspect you may have the coronavirus please call the information hotline for advice on 1800 020 080.
2. If you have recently come into close contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus we ask that you do not attend MPAO for 14 days. Please call the information hotline 1800 020 for advice and closely monitor your health.
3. If you are currently undergoing testing for coronavirus we ask that you do not attend MPAO. The department of health advises you to remain at home and self-isolate until you get results.
4. If you have recently travelled from overseas you cannot attend MPAO for 14 days. The government requires anyone arriving in Australia from overseas to self-isolate for 14 days. This applies to all travellers and Australian citizens.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and thank you for your respect in the interest of public safety during this outbreak. This policy will be updated regularly to reflect any new government enforced restrictions.
Please call our reception team on 9882 5584 should you have any queries.
