Melbourne Podiatrists & Orthotics wish to provide a safe environment for our patients and staff during the COVID-19 outbreak. Therefore the following policies apply for all patients:
1. If you are experiencing a fever, a cough, a sore throat, shortness of breath or flu-like symptoms we ask that you refrain from making an appointment. You should seek medical attention and get tested. For more information call the Victorian coronavirus hotline on 1800 675 398.
2. If you have recently come into close contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus we ask that you do not attend MPAO for 14 days. Please call the information hotline 1800 675 398 for advice and closely monitor your health.
3. If you are currently undergoing testing for coronavirus we ask that you do not attend MPAO. The department of health advises you to remain at home and self-isolate until you get results.
4. If you have recently travelled from overseas you cannot attend MPAO for 14 days. The government requires anyone arriving in Australia from overseas to self-isolate for 14 days. This applies to all travellers and Australian citizens.
Face masks are still required
Despite easing government restrictions from January 18th 2021, the wearing of face masks is still an entry requirement for all patients and visitors to our clinic as it is part of our COVIDSafe plan. We would prefer patients wear a surgical mask but any fitted face mask will also be accepted. You may be refused entry and treatment if you do not wear one. Exceptions include those who have a medical reason or children under 12 years of age.
COVIDSafe Summer - Victoria's COVID-19 Roadmap
